Fresh Mint Raita

Serves 4


250g | 1cup plain yoghurt
2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves 
1 red chilli
¼ teaspoon salt plus extra to taste


  • Finely chop the mint
  • Deseed and finely chop the chilli


Mix the yoghurt, mint and half the chilli and salt together until well combined.  Allow the mixture to stand for 5 minutes before checking how hot the raita is, if it’s too mild add the rest of the chilli.  Add salt according to your taste. 
If you like your raita hot leave the seeds in the chilli or add another one
