Nepalese style fried rice with turmeric, mustard seeds and mixed vegetables
Generous side dish for 1, ready to reheat and finish at home
In a pan
Empty contents into a wok or frying pan with 3 tablespoons of water, heat on a medium heat stirring regularly until your rice is piping hot throughout. During heating your rice may start to stick on the bottom of the pan, if this happens turn the heat down or add a little oil.
In a Microwave
We have based these guideline timings on a 800W microwave, please note microwaves vary in power so adjust times to ensure your food is piping hot.
Remove the lid and sprinkle your rice with 1-2 tablespoons of water, replace lid leaving 1 corner open, microwave on full power for 2 minutes. Remove the lid and stir your rice, being very careful not to burn yourself on the steam, replace the lid and microwave for a further minute or until your rice is piping hot throughout. Once ready allow to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
